Chapman University - Orange

Founded in 1861, Chapman University is one of California's oldest, most prestigious private universities. The university has long been recognized for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence through collaborative and low student-to-faculty ratios.

Master of Arts in Psychology – Marriage and Family Therapy

Offering an advanced education for students seeking a career as a professional psychologist, the marriage and family therapy program emphasizes practice in one of the human service professions.

Students in the master's program will receive academic preparation for licensure in California and for national board certification.

The Orange campus hosts an on-campus community clinic that serves individuals, families, couples and children in the greater Orange County area. The dual mission of the clinic is to provide high quality and affordable mental health service to the community as well as an excellent training and research environment for the graduate students in the psychology, marriage and family master's program.

MFT trainees are under the direct supervision of licensed clinical faculty, and the clinic is composed of eight therapy rooms. Rooms are equipped for direct observation and videotaping of sessions by clinical supervisors.
