MA in Counseling (Online)

Today's world is a complicated place. Many people are struggling through emotional, spiritual and mental challenges and are in great need of the support provided by professional counselors.

Are you called to go out into the world and serve as a compassionate, Christian professional? A Master of Arts in Counseling from LeTourneau University will equip you to help those in need, making a Christ-like impact "in every work place and every nation."

The M.A. in Counseling provides a wide variety of options - what students like you are looking for. With the M.A. in Counseling, you will be eligible to pursue licensure either as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or both!

Not only will you take courses that will give you the academic edge, but you will participate in settings where you practice skills and gain real-life experience through a required practicum. With a LeTourneau counseling degree, you will have all of the coursework necessary for the LPC and/or the LMFT.

Upon completion of the M.A. in Counseling, the student seeking licensure as an LPC will be eligible to sit for the National Counselor Examination (NCE ) and upon passing, you can be recognized by your state board as you seek to gain the required supervised hours for licensure. Those seeking LMFT licensure will be eligible to take your state exam and, upon successful completion, begin accruing supervised hours toward licensure.
